MAKATI, PHILIPPINES – “Tara, pobla!” but tired of the usual drinks and places there? Introducing Luisita Rum all the way from Hacienda Luisita, Tarlac.
“Grown, distilled, aged, blended and bottled in a Single Estate”
Luisita Rum is established in 1881 by Antonio Lopez, the first Marques de Comillas of Spain. He had an expanse of land and turned it into a pillar of sugar production.
What makes Luisita Rum unique is the reason of having them made out of the sugarcane grown from the fertile volcanic soil of Central Luzon that has dark, rich molasses which is then fermiented and distilled into a delicate spirit
“This Single Estate Rum is an embodiment of the land, its heritage and the spirit of the community.”
The amber rum has the strong aroma of delicate sugar that gives off a subtle tropical fruit essence and soft barrel notes of vanilla and caramel. This leaves off the sweet taste on the tongue and brings you out finished with mild oak and lingering spice.
It is best for you to try the Luisita rum yourself – visit Annex House in Poblacion, Makati to try the fine taste of Luisita Rum.
