
The multimedia organization of University of Santo Tomas, Mediatrix, is set to open the stage with their newest original musical production entitled, “Kable-Kable” written by Alexander Isaiah Samonte & Liara Elisha Turano, managed by Niña Marie De Guzman and Christine Jade Del Rosario, and directed by Enrico Byron Sacramento & Jeri Aliana Ramos.
The play focuses on hope and solidarity and picks up historical themes, conquering colonialism. The play is said to have 2 acts with a runtime of 2 hours that would feature 10 original songs from the organization.
“Kable-Kable is essentially about the complexities of our entangled lives,” Alexander Isaiah Samonte, one of the scriptwriters, said.
“Hopefully, this coming February 11, the audience will receive it in such a way that they will be inspired, not just as a viewer, not just as a part of the audience, but as a future part of the theater industry,” said Enrico Byron Sacramento, one of the directors.
The production will premiere on February 11, 2025 (10AM, 1PM, 4PM, 7PM), February 12, 2025 (10AM, 2PM, 5PM), and February 15, 2025 (10AM, 1PM, 3:30PM, 6:30PM) at the UST Albertus Magnus’ Building, 4th Floor, Auditorium, and is open to all Thomasian and non-Thomasian audiences with ticket prices being P250 for an Early Bird Promo (through E-Ticket; valid to all 10AM shows), P350 for Regulars, UST Alumni for P300, and P900 for a trio bundle.
