This October 12, 2015 marks the 75th Diamond Jubilee of Quezon City. Now local government has come with various culminating activities scheduled on October 10 and 11.
There would be Mardi Gras, Parade of Lights and Grand Concert. Also a Quezon City tour to experience the city as if you’re traveling in a different era.
One must see is the Quezon Heritage House of the former residence of Manuel L. Quezon. Quezon used the home as his weekend vacation house and eventually in where he stayed during his time having tuberculosis.
The Quezon City Government moved the house from the original address Gilmore street during 2013. They carefully moved piece by piece the part of the house and were able to restore almost 60% of the original house.
Original furnishing like beds, old cabinets, chairs, memorabilia, clothes, pictures and kitchen wares of Manuel L. Quezon can be seen inside the house.
You can visit the house every Tuesday and Sundays from 9am to 4pm.
